Stewed apples + Paleo granola

INGREDIENTS

PALEO GRANOLA: It’s got cashews, macadamias, cranberries, coconut, pepitas, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds. I grab it from the bulk containers at the Plaza Go Vita. Super high protein and fibre and the nuts and seeds are a good source of zinc.

A scoop of Jalna biodynamic YOGHURT (yellow lid/green label) for protein, calcium and good bacteria.

STEWED APPLES that I made a batch of yesterday because there were a whole heap in the fruit bowl that looked a bit average. These are so beneficial for a happy digestive system! But you could choose any seasonal fruit you enjoy.

Roughly dice up 6 Pink Lady or Royal Gala apples (naturally sweeter than Granny Smiths). Leave the skin on! Throw in a large saucepan or frying pan with 1/2 cup of water and as much cinnamon and/or nutmeg as you’d like. Allow to gently simmer for 10-15 mins or until tender but not smoosh. Add extra water as needed. Store in a container in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Sprinkle on some CHIA SEEDS for extra fibre and protein!

This is a great morning tea, afternoon tea or if you are still peckish after dinner. It takes no more than 2 mins to put everything in the bowl!!
