INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups bananas, mashed
1 1/2 cups plain flour (we used gf)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 rounded tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 egg
85g butter, melted
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp milk of your choice
1 tsp vanilla extract

 

 
 

1. Preheat the oven to 180. Line a square tin with baking paper. Can also be made into muffins.
2. Combine dry ingredients.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together wet ingredients with an electric beater.
4. Combine dry and wet. Add choc chips if you’re feeling cheeky! Pour into baking tin and bake for 20 mins.

That’s right. Not banana bread, not paleo/keto/organic/vegan whatever. Just a fluffy, delicious, traditional banana cake like your grandma would’ve made.
