Big Mac Tacos

Tastes just like the real thing!

INGREDIENTS

1 packet of gf Old El Paso wraps. It’s better to get smaller wraps than massive ones

500g beef mince

An iceberg lettuce
Cheese

Heinz original burger sauce from the supermarket for the full experience. Or just use tomato sauce and mustard

Bread and butter pickles

  1. Heat frying pan to med-high high heat. Divide mince into six portions. Then smoosh one portion into the wrap using your hands. The meat will shrink once it cooks so make sure you go all the way to the edges.

  2. Spray the frying pan with olive oil spray. HOT TIP: only season the mince with salt and pepper once it’s just about to go in the pan so it doesn’t toughen the meat.

  3. Place the taco face down on the frying pan for 3 mins. Flip onto the other side, sprinkle on cheese and cook for 1 min.

  4. Remove from the pan and place on a plate. The residual heat will melt the cheese.

  5. Cook the rest of the tacos. You can keep them warm in a 120 degree oven or serve as you go.

  6. Serve with pickles, shredded iceberg and sauce. Since making these a few times, I add in some sliced tomato and beetroot for some extra veg!
